Odapu can be considered a unique tradition of North Karnataka. This is a typical folk style vadarummy blastpus from north Karnataka. The names of the husband and wife should also be mentioned along with the promises. Odapu is a long-standing tradition. Odapu should be recited with the end rhymes of the husband/wife's name. The feelings of husband and wife are expressed in the union. It is an old village tradition passed down by word of mouth. At weddings, the bride used to say her husband's name in the form of a riddle. Collaborations are part of our culture and a skill of the creative mind. Odapu is wonderful literature for women.
